Finishing a project I started in 2005!!!!!!!!!

Uncle Paul had these 2 books.

I was just starting out with Yahoo groups and joined my first, Decoupage with Durwin Rice. I learned so much with this group about cut, paste, finish. One of the ladies in the group had pre cut ready to finish placemats. They were the perfect size for the pictures in the book. I thought it wood be fun to do a set of 8 using some of my favorite illustrations(mostly of dining) . Well, I finished 3! It is very labor intensive to get it put on nicely and then I have to add at least 10 coats of varnish so they are stain resistant.

I am cleaning out the drawers in the dining room and found them. So, I promised my self to finish this project! Copies have been made of the originals and all I have to do is size them, cut, decoupage and varnish.
