Virgin a day

Another picture that was my mom's!
My mother was a devout catholic. Not the in your face kind, just a loving woman who's religion was a very important part of her life.

If memory serves me right, you have a wonderful story behind this which deserves to be re-told! What a treasure to have this image and know that you have a connection with it that no others can have! How divine!

Peggy,
As I recall, the model for this painting is by Feruzzi and was called Madonnina or Madonna of the Streets. I read the family story. Are you somehow related? You don't need to tell me if you don't want to. It is just that you referred to the picture as your mom, not as something your mom gave you. It is a beautiful painting and than you so much for sharing it dear.
xo,
Noelle

Peggy, I was out of town today (ballerina mom)and I found a statue of the young Mary you posted yesterday. I didn't buy her tho...having a little regret.
If there is a story behind this picture, I would love to know it♥♥♥

This is one of my favorite Mary images and I'm working on a variation of it in one of my art journals. I'll post it sometime during this 12 day journey. Thanks for sharing.

This image reminds me of how very young Mary was when she gave birth to Jesus!
