How my crazy mind works!!!!

In 1990 I had this idea! I had no grandbabies and wanted to shop for baby clothes. So I found this bear in the Tender Heart catalog which was just about 1 year old size. Now I could go shopping! I bought new outfits and accessories for each bear (35)! I thought they would make great baby shower gifts! Then, another idea....what about those favorite outfits of your own or others special baby outfits we saved in a box...now, we had someone to wear the clothes again! How about a 3 or 4 year old who could dress the bear in their old clothes. Or big sister or brother who could dress their own baby! Anyway, it was fun and I sold them all! Some went to new mothers and some went to grandchildren of buyers.

121 4"x4" pages for recycle technique FAT book!

I am 1 of 120 participants in a technique fat book with the theme of using recycled material. I chose shredded paper from the shredder!!!!! What was I thinking? I used 6 full sheets of arches 300 lb watercolor paper. Sprayed craft spray adhesive to the papers and then sprinkled the shredded paper, sshmoosed it down, more spray, more paper. Let it dry. I used tim holtz colorwash inks and glitter mists. I layered several colors on the papers. The squares have a soft sparkle to them. After they were dry I laid a double piece of waxed paper on the papers and ironed them as flat as I could. Then.....cut, cut, cut, cut etc.

Barb and judy! My patient teachers when I joined alteredartswap yahoo group. They taught me to cut and paste and resize images, post my pics and let me play in group projects...even when I'd get the details all muddled in my mind. Thank you!

Beth, Tally, Tamara, and jen...my daughters! You let me share your families and make me feel like a contemporary! I love it!

Carol! I knew you online and then had the pleasure of meeting you last fall. You have an amazing calming way about you that I love. Always encouraging and teaching in the nicest ways!

Julie, my youngest! Two years ago when I stayed at your home, I discovered "the blog"! You were such an inspiration and I came home and said "I can do this".....Thank you!

Sandee...who was not on my list cause someone beat me to it and gave her this award!!!! She used to live 15 minutes away from me. We would have play days and meet for coffee to exchange round robin projects and oooo and ahhhhh over the art work of others that we were passing on!. We went on several "altered trips"...thanks to my directions(ask tally about that) and she was always there for me. I have watched her art develope into her own unique and beautiful style. She has an instinct for combining images and papers that is a delight!
