My mother-in-law's mothers school autograph book. I am so glad it wasn't lost in a house fire. I was amazed at the penmanship, the lovely sayings AND, that they even used german scrap on some of the pages!
I thought you might enjoy seeing a vintage altered book!
I am thinking of using the pages to design some background papers!
A truly beautiful book, how lucky that it survived and that you are now the owner to cherish it... it will look great in backgrounds for sure xxxx
ReplyDeletePeggy, you do indeed own a treasure. The dedication page is just lovely.

This reminds me of an autograph book my Grandmother once showed me. I haven't seen it in years, but it was a treasure, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely!
What a very cool connection to the past! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFABULOUS Peggy! They don't need any more altering - those pages are distressed to perfection. How wonderful it survived.
ReplyDeleteVery Special, Peggy! I'm so glad you will keep it intact.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Peggy, you are very luck to own such a treasure!
