Back to an old painting!!!

I started this painting about 3 years ago. After taking ann baldwin's collage class, I decided to see if I could finish it. I am thinking of adding some transparencies of my garden pictures. 

Any constructive ideas are most welcome!!!!!!!!

Make something beautiful! 

This is one of my "art therapy" pieces I did almost  3 years ago. I have shown it before on my blog when I first made it, but I really think it is worth showing again. A favorite of mine that hangs in my office where I can see it each day.

I made it for my friend Cathy who died 2 years ago of ovarian cancer. I made it when she was going in and out of the hospital . We had shared so many times of happy carefree times together and now we were sharing her difficult days. She was there for some of my unhappy life changes.

Then name is 

Friends In Sunshine and Shade.

What I wrote to go with the painting:

She added laughter to my happy times

And comfort to my trying times.

We were friends in sunshine and shade.

Surprise in the mail!!!!

I got an envelope in the mail. The address was in my handwriting and the return address was mine also! Did I forget a swap?????  It turned out to be photos of some decoupage fun Ih ad done for a FUNd raiser for our local art guild. I had sent the pics to Durwin Rice  and his yahoo group(my first group!) 6 years later, I got the pictures back! So, I am sharing them with you.

A group of artist were to decorate metal folding chairs to be auctioned off to raise money for our school education program.

I did 2! See, I've always been slightly altered!!!!!!!!

Hooray for Hollywood!

Place big book on telephone book!

Make sure the flowers are moisture free and try to cut as close to the flower as possible.

For roses, I pull the petals apart and then put in book.
