Paintpartyfriday! My old "boutique" art!

In the late 80's and early 90's I used to paint on wood and metal. I painted items for gardeners or garden lovers. This was before I began painting on canvas/paper. Items were sold or done by commission.
When looking at the quality of the pictures, you should know it was before I ever heard of a digital camera or a computer. These pictures were simply for my records of what I had completed.
I had so much fun!!!

White chair (commission)I have always loved flowers and was a pretty good gardener and was always planting, pruning, weeding. The plants I painted are the ones I had in the yard. While the style is "Folksie" I tried to be botanically accurate.

  5. Aw-w-w! I did all that stuff, too! And furniture. I painted all over shelves and all sorts of things. Then I started doing murals on people's walls! That was fun! And profitable!
    I love your treasures!

  10. The tub with flowers is amazing. It's fun to revisit items we crafted in the past isn't it. I keep saying I'll go back to my stained glass work but there is so much more to learn with other mediums that I doubt I ever will. It is interesting how we evolve.

  18. Peggy, your garden art is really, really good. I bet your things were in great demand. Your flowers are surely identifiable, unlike many that I make. I love the morning glory, especially.
