I love pastel ! I do a painting with the pastels and then go back and add color and details by using water and a brush. I shave the pastels I want to use with an exacto knife into a small palette . Then I dip a brush into water and mixed the "powder" to add more colors. It gives it a nice painterly look. 7"x 9" pastel in 17"x 21" frame http://paintpartyfriday.blogspot.com/2011/06/paint-party-friday-week-12-check-in.html
