Funny in a weird way as the marigolds I have in pots need to be plucked and dried so I'll have petals for Los Dias celebrations later. I always fail to mention the pleasure I get when seeing your header and those women in their newsprint frocks. Would love to have been at that party. They are all so beautiful dressed in their smiles. I love the haiku and that muted photo is fabulous!

Peace
here shines your positive heart,
transforming the sun crisp petals into fragrant potpourri!
sending clouds and rain your way.
enjoy the fragrance
of the sun on stone and wood
glint in my eyelash
The scent is amazing! Your words, the perfect petals to bring this spice into my world, this haiku Friday! Thank you Peggy!
Having the fragrance of the summer linger is a sweet joy.
Happy Friday !
That's not really how potpourri is made, is it? (Well, is it?)

When the hot sun crisps your flowers...make potpourri. A lovely haiku and a great use for drought stricken flowers.
I haven't made potpourri for so long. You've reminded me of something I'll do when I get back home.
Such a fragile image... I can almost smell the flowers! Enjoy the weekend!
Love your haiku. I agree with Spadoman about your header. The woman on the left reminds me of Margie, a woman I used to work with.
In other words, make the best of a not-so-good situation!
