I don't believe I've ever seen this particular madonna, but she seems Flemish or Dutch. It's so good to see her against the backdrop of nature, particularly the light sky. It really makes her stand out. It has been wonderful reading all your posts. I'll see you again, I'm sure, at some of Rebecca's other challenges.
I think Carol has it right: These are classically lovely Madonnas. Thank you for reminding us of the many ways Mary appears to the world's different peoples.
painted on porcelain as a wall painting sounds like a lovely media,so European, the masters.. i have not seen the first she looks in ecstasy.. thank you for your posts along this pilgrimage, lovely!
paintings by the masters, have such a wonderful purity and glow.. like they knew her intimately.. the first looks in ecstasy.. thank you for your posts along this pilgrimage, lovely!
A lovely thought to end with....but then, every ending is a beginning! I'm so glad to have been on this journey with you.Maybe we'll meet again next year. Wishing you a joyful festive season! Ruby

One of my favorite images.
I have used this one in my art too.
I love your special touches you've added. ♥
