Such tender love... we all need to remember and know this place in us... and for those who have never had this kind of love... oh how I wish for that emptiness to be filled with such beauty...
What Nonnie said--and then to have had six grandkids so far where I have been able to do the same. I love the tilt of the head in this Caravaggio because it reminds me of the classic tilt of iconographers, but he was a master painter. This is a beautiful piece.

what a sweet image! I recall bending my nose into the creases of each of my babies, inhaling the sweet fragrance that only a baby radiates.
