gingersnapcreations! pencils

I must admitt I made this 4 years ago. It was my first "assemblage"1 The pencil box is actually mine from the 50's. I attended a catholic girls school. Holy cards were exchanged between friends like "trading cards" and this is one from then!!!
Report card and small school picture.
Please notice that while the academics were not the best grades, I really did do well in art!!!
Thanks for letting me show you a special memory for me!!!!

I love your honesty. Peggy. my results were not great apart from art, and I am always amazed at both my children and grand childrens' results. I think "where did that come from?"

If this was your very first assemblage I'd say you had it down from the start. Very creative.....

Hi Peggy, I absolutely love the box. And yes, you are right we did trade Holy Cards like trading cards, I am making something for Somerset Christmas using one of those old coveted Holy Cards from Italy! And yes, I did better in art too but not much else....lol. Pam

HAahaaa....I have to admit my grades were VERY similar to yours! A's in art, everything else what it was.

I loved this post--thank you for sharing this bit of yourself and memories.

This is fantastic, Peggy! What a treasure from your childhood. This is a beautiful contribution to our Pencil Challenge at Gingersnap Creations!

I got lousy grades in P.E., too!)

This is FAB-U-LOUS!!!!

I can't believe you saved all those treasures!

I just adore the top assemblage - so so cute - and to have as report card that actually says you talked too much in class - HOW TERRIFIC!

I wish my mother was more sentimental -LOL - she didn't save ANYTHING. LOL She wouldn't even put the ugly ornaments we made as kids on the Christmas tree.

I feel so deprived.
